Language and appearance
Switch between English and French, and between a light and a dark look.
Before you start
OneView Properties comes in English and French, and in a light or a dark look. Both choices are yours alone. Changing them doesn't change what anyone else in your organization sees.
- The first time you visit, the app uses your browser's language if it is English or French.
- Signed in, your choices are saved on your account, so they follow you to your phone, your computer and any other device. Signed out, they are saved in that browser only.
1. Change the language
Look for the switcher with the two flags, labelled "Change language". Select the flag of the language you want. The whole app switches straight away.
- Signed in: select Account in the menu. The language switcher is in the Preferences card, next to Language.
- Signed out: the switcher is at the top of the login and registration pages, and in the menu of the public website and of this help guide. On a help article it takes you to the same article in the other language.
2. Switch between light and dark
There are two ways, and they stay in step with each other.
- The toggle: a sun or moon button that flips between light and dark in one press. On a computer it sits in the top bar. On a phone, open the menu and select Dark mode near the bottom. On the login and registration pages it sits at the top of the card.
- The setting: on your account page, in the Preferences card, Appearance offers Auto, Light and Dark. Auto follows your device: dark at night if your phone or computer is set that way.
What happens next
The page reloads in the new language. The appearance changes at once. On your account page you see "Preferences updated." after a change. Both choices are still there the next time you sign in.
Common problems
I can't find the language switcher after signing in
Once you are signed in, it lives on your account page rather than in the top bar. Select Account, then look in the Preferences card.
The app is dark and I never chose it
Your setting is probably Auto, which follows your device. If your device is set to dark, so is the app. Pick Light in Appearance to stay light whatever the device does.
My choice is missing on another device
When you are signed out, a choice only lives in that browser. Sign in, then set it again: from then on it follows your account.
Does this change the language of the WhatsApp code message?
Yes. The message that carries your code is sent in the language saved on your account.
