Create an organization
Set up the workspace for your properties, tenants and team. You become its Owner, and it starts in draft.
Before you start
You need a verified OneView account. If you don't have one yet, start with Create an account.
An organization is the workspace that holds your properties, tenants, leases and team. Pick the name your tenants and colleagues know you by, for example "Palmiers Immobilier". You can belong to several organizations, and you can create more than one.
1. Open the form
If you don't belong to an organization yet, your dashboard shows "Set up a space to manage properties". Select Create organization. The same button is on your account page.
If you already have an organization, select Organization in the menu, then New organization.
2. Fill in the details
- Organization Name (required): at least 2 characters. Two organizations can't share the same name, so add your town or a word of your own if yours is taken.
- Description: a line about what you manage. Optional.
3. Create it
Select Create Organization. You land on the organization page, and you see "Organization created successfully."
What happens next
You are the Owner. The form says it too: "You will be assigned as the owner of this organization and can invite other personnel later." The new organization becomes your active one, and you are in the personnel view.
It starts in draft. A Setup tag sits next to its name in the menu, and a banner reads "Setup mode:" on every screen. "Nothing is billed and no tenant is contacted until you go live." Draft and live explains what that means.
Your dashboard shows a "Set up your workspace" card. Start with Add a property, then Invite staff and choose their roles if you work with a team.
Common problems
It says the name is already taken
Another organization already uses that exact name. Choose a different one. You can rename your organization later from the Details tab on its page.
I don't see the create button
The dashboard card only shows while you belong to no organization. Once you have one, use Organization in the menu, then New organization. If you only see a tenant menu, select Switch to Personnel View first.
I want to delete an organization
Open it from Organization, go to the Details tab and select Delete organization. Only the account that created the organization sees this button. It works only while no lease has moved past draft, because that history must be kept. You confirm by typing the organization's name.
