OneView Properties
For tenants

Pay an invoice

Pay rent or another charge from the tenant portal, and send proof when you paid outside the app.

Before you start

You need a OneView account linked to your lease. Your landlord or property manager sends you an invitation by email or WhatsApp when they add you; follow it to create your account. If you have an account but see no invoices, your lease isn't linked to it yet. Ask your property manager.

In the portal you don't send money through OneView. You pay your landlord the way they accept (mobile money, bank transfer or cash), then tell OneView you paid and attach the proof. Keep the proof: a screenshot of the mobile money confirmation message, the bank slip, or the receipt your landlord gave you.

1. Open the invoice

In the menu, select Invoices. Open the invoice you want to pay. It shows what you owe, the due date, and the payments already made on it.

2. Choose how you are paying

Select Record payment. A form opens. The Amount is filled in with what you still owe. Lower it if you are paying part of it now.

In Payment Method, choose one of the methods your landlord accepts. The form then shows their instructions for that method:

  • Mobile money (MTN or Orange): a code to dial or a number to pay, with a Copy button. Also copy the Reference and enter it when your operator asks for a reason or reference, so your landlord can match the payment to this invoice.
  • Bank transfer: select View RIB to see the account details, then make the transfer from your bank.
  • Cash: pay your landlord or their caretaker and ask for a receipt.

3. Pay, then attach your proof

Make the payment outside the app, following the instructions. Then come back to the form, select Upload receipt under Receipt, and choose your screenshot, photo or PDF. The form won't save without it.

4. Submit

Select Save Payment. The invoice shows "Payment under review" while your landlord checks that the money arrived.

What happens next

When your landlord approves the payment, you get a notification and the payment reads Confirmed. The amount comes off the invoice, and you can download your receipt from the payment.

If they reject it, you see their reason on the payment, for example a wrong amount or an unreadable screenshot. The invoice opens for payment again, so you can fix the problem and submit a new one.

Common problems

I don't see the button to pay

The invoice is already paid in full, or a payment you sent is still waiting for your landlord's approval. You can only have one payment under review on an invoice at a time. The button also disappears once your lease has ended, except on the final settlement invoice.

Your landlord hasn't approved the payment yet. Approval is done by a person checking their account, so it can take a little while. If it is taking days, contact your property manager through Chats or by phone.

I uploaded the wrong file

Once submitted, you can't change it. Tell your property manager: they can reject the payment so you can submit it again with the right proof.

The way I paid isn't in the list

Only the methods your landlord set up appear. Ask your property manager which one to use, or ask them to record the payment for you.
