Messages and announcements
Write to your landlord's team, ask about an invoice and read the announcements your landlord publishes.
Before you start
You need to be linked to a lease: see Get into your tenant portal. In Chats you write to the team of a landlord you rent from, not to other tenants.
1. Write to your landlord's team
In the menu, select Chats, then New Chat. In Recipients, search for the person you want to reach and select them, then select Start chat. The conversation opens.
Type your message in the box at the bottom and select Send. When someone answers, a counter on Chats in the menu shows how many messages you haven't read. Your conversations are listed on the same page, and the search box finds them by name.
2. Ask about an invoice
To ask about a specific bill, select Invoices in the menu, open the invoice and select Query this invoice. A chat opens with the person in charge of your lease, with the message "Hi, I have a question about invoice INV-001." already typed in the box. Nothing is sent yet: add your question, then select Send.
3. Read announcements
Select Announcements in the menu. Each announcement shows the landlord it comes from, a preview, the date and the author. Select View to read it in full. Your dashboard also lists the latest ones under "Latest Announcements", with a View all link.
What happens next
Your landlord's team answers in the same conversation. Come back to Chats to read and reply.
Announcements are different: OneView sends no notification when a landlord publishes one. Open Announcements or your dashboard from time to time, so you don't miss a notice about works, a water cut or a change of rules.
Common problems
I can't find my landlord's team in the recipient list
Only active team members of the landlords you rent from are listed. If your landlord's organization is still in setup, nobody shows until it goes live. If it is live and the person is missing, call your property manager.
I see no announcements
Either your landlord hasn't published any addressed to tenants, or their organization is still in setup. Draft announcements and the ones meant only for the landlord's team never appear here.
I never heard about an announcement
Announcements don't trigger a notification, an email or a message. They only appear on the announcements page and your dashboard.
Can I write to my neighbours or other tenants?
No. In Chats you can only write to the team of a landlord you rent from.
